Washiteippimania

Lämpenin aluksi hitaasti washiteipeille, mutta sittemmin olenkin jäänyt niihin koukkuun aika pahasti. Kokoelma oli jo niin suuri, että tuli tarve löytää sekä toimiva tapa varastoida teipit että pitää itselle yllä tietoa valikoimasta. Ensiksi päätin tuunailla tällaisen kirjasen, josta valikoima on helppo aina tarkistaa - tarkemmat selostukset ja lisäkuvia löytyy Fiskarettesista täältä!

My first contact with washi tapes wasn't exactly love at first sight - however since that first encouter I have fallen deeply in love with them and my collection is growing up fast.  Now I needed both a storage solution and also a sample book to keep up with my stashes. Here's my new little sample book of all of my tapes - you can add pages there if needed and also the acetate pages are easy to use - IF (it's not likely to happen soon though) I happen to run out of some tape in my collection I just rip off the sample in the book and can use the space for my new tapes.

Tarvitsin myös säilytysratkaisun teipeilleni - ratkaisuksi löytyi kirpparilta muutamalla eurolla mäntyinen 80-90 -lukujen kodin vakiovarusteluun kuulunut monitoimiteline, joissa pidettiin talouspapereita, folioita ja elmukelmuja aikanaan. Rullat saa kätevästi irroitettaviin rullanpidikkeisiin ja etulistoissa on vielä metallinen sahalaitareuna teipin katkaisua varten, joten jos tarvin vain pienen pätkän niin ei tarvitse edes rullaa poistaa telineestä! Laiska kun olen niin en jaksanut hiomaan alkaa vaan menin sitten helpoimman kautta ja päällystin 1800 -luvun vanhan kirjan sivuilla ja modgepodgella koko systeemin ;) Kulmat koristelin tietysti aiheeseen sopien erilaisilla washiteipeillä.

I needed also a new storage system for my growing stashes - so I bought a wooden kitchen storage rack ( for paper towel rolls, plastic rolls, roil rolls etc) from flea market. I used modgepodge and old book pages to cover it as I was too lazy to sand all the laquer off it. Then I decorated the edges with some of my favorite tapes and also used some vintage style chipboard pieces on the top shelf. The holders come of for easy access and if you need only a small piece of tape you can cut it agains the serrated moulding at the front of each holder.

Ja sillä välin kun etsin tuohon viereen vielä toista samanlaista telinettä niin osa rullista on pitänyt vielä säilyttää korissa telineen alla  - tosin kuvan ottamisen jälkeen tuonne ylähyllylle vielä lisäsin osan teipeistä riviin :)

And while I'm searching flea markets to find another similar holder I have stashed the rest of the tapes in a small basket under the wall holder - although after this picture I took and placed some of them on the top shelf of the holder.

StampARTic -haaste: Askarteluhuoneeni :)

StampARTicin haaste sattui kyllä sopivasti kun juuri sain tuon uuden vanhan pöytäni ja samalla siivosin huoneen, joka suoraan sanottuna oli kuin pommin jäljiltä... näiden kuvien jälkeenkin olen vielä pikkasen järjestellyt paremmin tavaroita ja suunnitelmissa on myös verhojen laittoa ja josko mies saisi viimein kesän aikan puuttuvat listatkin paikoilleen :)

Huoneessani on aika paljon itsetehtyä tai jonkun toisen käsintekemää. Verhot ja matot, valkoinen seinähylly ja tuolin verhoilu (tuoli löytyi talomme yläkerrasta jo vuosia sitten kun aloitimme rempan!) ovat kaikki ihan tähän huoneeseen tehtyjä :D Myös ompelukoneen huppu on käsintehty, tosin sen hankin toiselta ompelijalta kun itsellä ei tuota ihanaa kidstonin mansikkakangasta ollut. Ja tietysti tuo vanha pöytä on jonkun puusepän taidokkaissa käsissä aikoinaan syntynyt :)

StampARTic challenge was to show the place you make your craftings. Here's my craft room after I bought that "new" old desk of mine at the neighbour town's flea market. My craft room was total mess after busy last couple of months so I finally got it organized enough to take these pics...although after these I still organized some more and planning to renew the courtains at least :) My hubby also needs to get those corners finished soon when he has his next vacation time! *LOL*

There's also lots of handmade items in my craft room such as the curtains, carpets, the white shelf where the wooden boxes are, sewing machine's " strawberry hat" and ofcourse the gorgeous old table made by a very skilful carpenter:



Verhojen takana onkin sitten runsaasti säilytystilaa niin paperiaskartelutarvikkeille kuin kankaille, langoille ja muullekin käsityötavaralle.

Behind the white rose courtains is lots of storage room for more paper craft items, fabrics, yarns and everything else related to crafts :)



Ja kuten näette niin tuo rautainen hyllykky oikealla on vielä aikamoinen sekasotku ja kaipaa siis hieman lisää järjestelyä... mutta se varmaan tulee sitten seuraavana sadepäivänä työn alle valmiiksi :D :

As you can see the tall shelf on the right needs some more organizing still, but I leave it for the next rainy day *LOL*:

Little messy at the moment but I'm proud to have my own craft room and it's decorated with my own style! It just finished about 2 weeks ago but I'm sure I will have lots of fun crafting in my very own room!
